Ep17 - Jamie Aarons
So this week, we are lucky to be joined by Jamie Aarons, a Californian who moved to Scotland in 2005. Jamie is a trail runner, mountain biker, kayaker and lover of the Right to Roam. She and her partner Andy can often be found in the local hills adventuring with their two dogs, Pirate and Hope. Jamie works as a Social Work Advisor with Scottish Government.
In 2023, beginning on the 26th of May, Jamie climbed all 282 Munros whilst cycling, kayaking, running and walking between them.
The route equated to around 1500 kilometres of both running and cycling – 3000 kilometres total – with approximately 140,000 metres of ascent. This is the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest 16 times.
Join us on the trails, and find out just how simple it is for ordinary people to achieve extraordinary levels of health and fitness.
